Application Reference:  EP/P018483/1
Title:
Digital threads: Towards personalised craft production in Malay cottage industries

Surat bebunyi:

Dear Dr Corina Sas and Dr Masitah Ahmad,
Application Reference:  EP/P018483/1
Title:
Digital threads: Towards personalised craft production in Malay cottage industries
Thank you for your application to the RCUK-DIPI-Ristekdikti-MoHE-DOST-TRF Small Scale Research Call and many apologies for the delayed response to you. Following the joint assessment panel, RCUK and MoHE have considered your proposal, and I am pleased to inform you that your application was successful and has been recommended for funding.
For your award, the Arts and Humanities Research Council will fund both the UK and Malaysian costs of your grant proposal. AHRC will pay all costs to the UK PI’s research organisation, and will ask for this organisation to transfer the Malaysia-designated funds to the Malaysian partners on the grant. Malaysian applicants will still be expected to fulfil any reporting requirements that MoHE has.
UK Applicants – starting date/procedure
Please note, due to the tight timescales and funding restrictions of the Newton Fund, the proposed start date on the Je-S system must be between 1st December 2016 and 14th February 2017; the grant must end by March 2019. In order to start the grant the start confirmation must be submitted by 14th February 2017 (shorter than the standard 42 days for Research Council grants). Please refer to http://www.rcuk.ac.uk/documents/documents/TermsandConditionsofResearchCouncilfECGrants-pdf/ for information on what the starting procedure entails. Please ensure that your proposal starts as near as possible to your Southeast Asian partners.
Please ensure that you inform the relevant support staff in your organisation of this requirement to ensure the project starts on time.
RCUK will email Dr Corina Sas directly in a follow up email regarding further requirements as part of the awarding process.
Malaysian Applicants– starting date/procedure
For the starting of the Malaysian side of the grant I cc in colleagues from MoHE, who will be in touch with  Dr Masitah Ahmad on the process to get you started.
Feedback
Feedback on your application will be made available within the next month but should not delay the movement/ start of your grant.
Please note that I am only sending this notification to you, as the principal applicants, and would request that co-applicants be informed of this decision.

Yours sincerely,

Kim Fuggle
